About West View Fancies

I’m Andy Stoddart, founder and owner of West View Fancies. I’ve had a passion for fish for all of my life and as a result I now have over forty years of unrivalled experience across all aspects of the aquatics industry.

As a boy I first kept my own Tropical fish at my parent’s house, and in my early 20’s I set up my very first aquatics business a, Koi dealership based in the garden of my own home with four or five self-built ponds. I even built my own shed as my first shop!

As the business grew so did my set-up and my ambitions. As a result I have run a number of aquatics related businesses and imported many different varieties of fish from across the world, including Koi, Tropical fish, Marine fish and Fancy Goldfish. You name it, I’ve done it when it comes to quality fish!

In 2021, following the global Coronavirus Pandemic, I decided it was time to launch my own Fancy Goldfish business, to provide the best quality Fancy Goldfish available to hobbyists across the UK. West View Fancies was born and the rest is now history! At our specialist facilities we have an unrivalled selection of high quality Fancy Goldfish in a mixture of mud ponds and purpose-built concrete ponds, which I care for and nurture on a daily basis.
